MMUH - Emergency Department
Linham was the primary contractor and Project Supervisor for the Construction Stage (PSCS) for the major expansion and internal reorganisation of the Mater Misericordiae Emergency Department (ED). The ED is situated at the Mater Hospital on North Circular Road. This ambitious project is designed to enhance healthcare infrastructure with a deep commitment to improving patient care and safety.

The project scope includes the thoughtful addition of new spaces and the remodelling of the existing ED waiting area to serve the needs of patients and staff better. The enhanced facilities include a dedicated Psychiatry Examination room, a meeting room, state-of-the-art toilets, a consultation room, an improved facade area, and an additional treatment room. Each element of the project was executed with precision, ensuring minimal disruption within the hospital environment and prioritising workers' and patients' health and safety.

Collaboration with the Mater Hospital staff was central to Linham's approach, guaranteeing that the project met and exceeded expectations. The project was commissioned by the Mater Hospital, Eccles Street, Dublin, Ireland, and adhered to a Public Works Contract with design specifications provided by the employer. Jones Engineering played a crucial role in the mechanical and electrical aspects of the project, highlighting the collaborative effort to deliver excellence in healthcare facilities.
